Day 1 Resume Sketching in pencil and pentel calculating that the bottom part of the bocetto fits the limit of the marble base where the sculpture would be mounted when finish. Fitting the clay (stoneware) to the horse pattern in a half body relieve continuing the other half the next day when the figure clay gets more consistency upon drying. |
Día 2 Resume The clay forming haf horse body is then separated from the board by passing through, a fine metalic wire. Then the side where the other half woul be attach must then be scraped by a sharp object to solder both halves and prevent cracks or separation during the drying process or in the kiln firing. Once completed the entire body of the horse, it is then mounted on a provisional supporting base where it would be much easier to model any part of the sculoture. |
Day 3 Resume The modeling of the horse sculpture continue having emphasis on muscle structure and smoothing rough surfaces. The poisture is then adopted to the bocetto design where in my case some time does not coincide with pure realism but with my proper style. |
